If you like exploring character-driven plots with damaged, morally grey characters, you should definitely check this little gem out. They’re all morally grey people who try to navigate life, and you can’t help but fall in love and get attached to all of them. If there’s something that draws you to this book, it’s the characters each one of them has a special background and a deep and complex personality.
The plot is very character-driven and explores some mature themes (abuse, violence, death, and drugs, among others), but at the same time, there’s so much banter and so many quirky dialogues. I really don’t want to spoil anything from the book, so I’ll just say it follows The Foxes, an exy team (exy is a sport that resembles lacrosse), which is basically a bunch of misfits with dark pasts - and our main protagonist, Neil, is their latest addition.
